Create Freebok Account

Please follow these instructions to create new Freebok account.

Read the Freebok Terms of Service.
Make up an identification (nickname, Freebok ID) for yourself and write it to the "Account name" field below. This name will be used as your login identifier and also as your nickname on Freebok site and forums, so you should take the time to come up with one that pleases you. Especially so as you cannot change your Freebok ID later.
Account name is used as part of URL address in some parts of the Freebok service. This is why it is not advised to use characters other than numbers, dash '-', underline '_' and letters a-z in the Freebok ID. If your account name contains special characters a unique number will be used in the URL instead of the account name.
For example the address to the user profile of account name juha is http://www.freebok.net/~juha/index.html, the address for account name päivi might end up something like: http://www.freebok.net/~34123/index.html
Non-latin languages
Freebok supports non-latin character languages, but the above limitation applies. You are free to use non-latin characters in your account name if you don't mind about the more difficult URL.
Enter your email address to the Email field. Please use your primary email address. This email address will never be visible in Freebok site and we will never give it away. We'll send only important email to this address (e.g. new password to replace a forgotten one). You'll have the chance to give a public email address later.
After you have submitted the form you will be emailed the password for your new account. Your account is not yet active.
Wait for the email to arrive and log in with your account name and the password that you got from the mail. After the first login your account is activated and you can start using the service.

After form submission the Freebok ID will be reserved for seven days. If the account is not activated during this time it will be released so that others can use it.

Please note that you are not creating a new guestbook now, but a user account. After you have created the user account you can create new guestbooks with it, and also import the old guestbooks to the new account.
If the email containing the password to your new account does not arrive, you can request a new password via the Send Password page.

Account name :		The minimum length for the account name is 3 characters and it can't start with a number. Name is case sensitive but you cannot create account name that differs from an existing one by only the case (e.g. "juha" and "Juha").
Email :		Please double-check the email address before submitting.
	Plain text email	Select this checkbox if you want the email messages sent by Freebok to be in plain text format instead of HTML format.


	Create Freebok Account
