Emoticons - Orange
Note! Emoticons are not yet supported in guestbook or forum
messages. This note will be removed when the supoort becomes available.
Emoticons are usually little face-images that can be inserted to guestbook
and forum messages to express a mood or a feeling. Emoticons let people know how
you feel without saying "I am happy" or "I am bored".
There are two alternate ways to insert emoticons in Freebok; using the
emoticon shortcuts, or using the emoticon code. The guestbook or forum owner
may have disabled or enabled each of these ways. It is good practice to notify
the users of what codes are available, but if the owner has failed to do that,
the only way to know if emoticons are supported is to try them.

The count of pattern letters determines the format.
(Text): 4 or more pattern letters--use full form, < 4--use short or abbreviated form if one exists.
(Number): the minimum number of digits. Shorter numbers are zero-padded to this amount. Year is handled specially; that is, if the count of 'y' is 2, the Year will be truncated to 2 digits.
(Text & Number): 3 or over, use text, otherwise use number.
Any characters in the pattern that are not in the ranges of ['a'..'z'] and ['A'..'Z'] will be treated as quoted text. For instance, characters like ':', '.', ' ', '#' and '@' will appear in the resulting time text even they are not embraced within single quotes.
A pattern containing any invalid pattern letter will result in a thrown exception during formatting or parsing.
